Desolation Sound - Day 4 at Gorge Harbour

Today our travels took us on a long 53 mile stretch of waterway up to beautiful Gorge Harbour. As we passed many small islands I began to look for eagles. As soon as I did, an eagle flew right past us and perched in one of the trees.

Others in our party told us what a beautiful place Gorge Harbour is but we were still amazed when we pulled into the marina. As we approached, you couldn't even see the narrow passage way that we would go through until we were nearly upon it. The following pictures show the view we had as we approached and entered Gorge Harbour.

After getting tied up and rinsing off the salt water from the boats, we wandered up to look at the resort. It is not only a marina but offers camping for tents and RVs, has a pool, hot tub, grocery store, and many other amenities. I even heard from Jack that just past the campground there is an amazing bakery that we  have already agreed we need to check out. The grounds are beautiful and we had a wonderful view of our boats from the deck of the restaurant. We plan to have lunch in the restaurant tomorrow but enjoyed quiet dinners on our boats this evening.
